TDPR1.2 on 235 tyres
« on: December 19, 2012, 11:49:09 am »
Merry xmas all. Thinking of purchasing TD pro race 1.2 18*8 for my eddy which is lowered by Eibach springs. Does anyone know if I will get any rubbing with 235/40 section F1 Assym 2 tyres on? I was going to order et45 but I see they also sell et50 as well which may be better if they rub? I am not sure which way to go even after reading through searches! Thanks.

Probably will mate, depending on what eibach springs you are running, sportline or proline ?
I'm running H&R (about 5mm lower than the lowest eibach ones)
And I get occasional rubbing on the fronts with oem offset pescaras and standard 225 section tyres. So even though you are 5mm higher I recon with the extra wheel and tyre poke you will get rubbing - is you've fitted sportline springs that is

( I only get it on hard tight cornering though but it still annoys me )

Thanks - yes they are sportlines. Do you think they will rub even with the screw delete mod? I was wondering if the slight extra traction (300bhp eddy) with 235's would be worth risking the rubbing ober 225's?! I dont know if the et 50 wheels would be a better option.
