Front cup holder with shutter
« on: December 16, 2012, 06:36:48 pm »
Just wandering if these can be fitted into a centre console with the normal cup holder in or do I need the full centre console?
How hard can it be?

Sorted a bottle opener, got one of the 4 quid jobbies off eBay from the link in the classifieds. Might have a trip down to vw and pick one up!

You will have to get the two rubber trays too. I would like to get the actual price on this as I've just bought one second hand, under £35. But IMO, there going to be more from VW

They are meant to be a ball ache to fit apparently? Does anyone have a part no for the holder?

its a simple job once you have the centre console out. 2 screws and its in. good time to fit the front airvent so you can use the blowers on an armrest if you are fitting one
MDI Armrest & Glovebox kits
MDI looms , iPod, USB & lightening Iphone 5 leads
Armrests, cloth and leather
Retro fit Armrest 6 CD changer/Ipod dock kits

There is a pipe in the bottom of the armrest which comes built in the armrest in those kits but there is another pipe which joins that one to the dash, have you bought that seperate?

Yeah, that came with the kit, the one that goes from the armrest down to just under the radio. Dropped on with a kit off ebay with one included all brand new!
