replacement rear hatch VW badge, how to?

mine is showing some white worm, just wondered if it's an easy swap over and cost of part?

mines the early flat smooth version, it's just showing when opening the boot. can live with it for now, but something to think about

Unfortunately VW doesn't sell the emblem seperately!
You have to buy the whole latch mechanism that includes the emblem.

I dont think you are able to get the flat ones anymore, you may have to upgrade to the newer type.

I have a full badge and latch mechanism if you want it. It came off mine when I moved over to the carbon fibre one. I don't know how much they are worth though, but it is in good condition and I know how to fit one if you want some help and are near

i got mine replaced at the dealers a few weeks ago-the new ones don't sit flush with the tail gate,they stick out by 2mm-am loooking for another badge for mine as well

mine has the whiteworm as well, its an 05 model,
Am thinking about getting an aftermarket one, like the carbon fibre ones, how much did you pay hurdy?

Here is a pic of the rear CF badge. I bought it in a group buy through the TT shop, so you'd have to agree a price with them. They will supply a new latch mechanism with the badge too
As you can see I also colour coded the inner part of the badge to match the car, to help it stand out a bit more

If your emblem is flat i.e the VW emblem is not raised then Charles@Carbon Dynamics will not be able to apply CF to it.

hurdy, did yours come off the edition 30? i would imagine it's the newer type with the 3d emobossed VW type style.

i'm not too bothered which one it is, but have said to the other member he can have first dibs over me
