think Hurdys is the newer type one,am after the flat one

the new the vw badge is raised a lot more--can't understand why the new badges stick out about 2mm more

Hi Andy,

The chrome badge is part number..

1K0 853 630

The latch mechanism has two numbers, the first one is most likely the backing plate for the chrome badge..

1K0 827 469 G
3C5 827 469 C

Here's a pic of the latch and badge. The badge isn't clipped into place, but is sitting on top of the latch if you see what I mean. :smiley:

its the same badge i have on my car already Hurdy -be no good to me as am after the old fat one but it looks like i will have to find one in a scrap yard ,sorry about that

Just noticed mine has started to go slightly at the bottom  :sad:
Any idea how much for a standard one from a stealer or TPS?
Or if Hurdy's hasn't been snapped up - how much dude?  :smiley:

I HAVE AN 05 EARLY FLAT ONE AND A TOUCH OF WHITE WORM HIT MINE SO I HAVE PLASTI DIPPED IT oops capa lock sorry :embarrassed:
i have plasti dipped it and it now looks a cool flat rubberised matt black. will try to get better pics up of my backside( :innocent:)

they are £70+vat from the dealers
