RNS-510 Battery Drain
« on: September 17, 2012, 02:05:51 pm »
Hi,

I am suffering with battery drain when my RNS-510 is fitted, the CAN gateway has been updated to 7N0 907 530C , and the firmware of the RNS-510 has been changed from 2670 to 3810, but I am still getting the drain. I also had this problem when my MFD2 was fitted as well. When I fit the standard RCD300 there is no drain, and I can rule the drain is coming from Navigation, however I am clueless on what I can do next. Any ideas?

TIA

that is strange, has the gateway been coded for nav? although I can't see why it would drain.

You might need the 'H' variant gateway as you have the navigation...there's a bloke on eBay who sells them already coded who might be able to help...sorry I can't seem to post a link on my phone but its the £85 buy it now add...he's in Yarmouth

the seller on ebay is me

but the OP had a drain problem with his mfd2 which means I couldn't guarantee that a new gateway would solve the drain
