Media In Device
« on: December 22, 2012, 12:42:52 pm »
Hi,

I have recently fitted a RCD510 and a armrest MDI.

The headunit works fine with the SD card and the MDI Ipod cable works fine with the Ipod/Iphone.

I have also got the USB adapter cable and this works fine with USB drives or Nokia phones (when a USB cable is attached to the adapater and then plugged into the phone).

The only problem I am having is, the USB cable does not recognise a Blackberry device.

When attempting to use a Blackberry it is "media in device not supported". I have read on the net and tried to update my firmware on the MDI, however whenever I try to update via a USB stick it says "software update not possible".

I am kind of stuck here with trying to get a Blackberry to work. only alternative I have is possibly to buy another MDI lead (mdi to mini USB).

Anyone have any ideas?

Can you just not put the music onto the ipod / sd card? No idea about the firmware, try a different version?
