greenlight
« on: July 02, 2009, 03:30:15 pm »
well its that time again, currently with tesco, they only dropped my premium by £34 this year, ill be 25! 5yncb! what a joke... access is like £500 too.

tooked a greenlight they came about £30 cheaper.. woo at £798, £375 access. which is better than tesco. i know there a modified  car insurer, but what does this mean, do they charge extra for mods or do they have a limit or what? cant find nething on their site.. :s

opinions on them would be nice also.

SOLD!! :(

i love greenlight

theyre mod friendly and rarely dent your premium when you start modding. with all mods declared they will replace things like for like (except audio) which is tres cool

thouroughly recommend them. they use a company to insure your car and they themselves insure your mods so it keeps the premium low when combined rather than the car as a whole. its packaged up and sold to you and everyones happy

....

They are a specialist broker and will accept most legal mods. You don't pay extra for your mods except a flat £25 admin fee for adding them to your annual policy once the policy is agreed.

The big benefit is that you get like-for-like but you must declare ALL your mods.

Otherwise, your premium will depend on all the usual things such as your age, record, postcode, etc etc.

HTH

As VC says, the company that they use is Highway Insurance. Greenlight then also have the option to alter the Highway quote in order to make them more competitive. I believe that Chris Knott also uses Highway but they are not so willing to alter the Highway quote.

Wow that is expensive, but i guess relevant to your post code, which is bad if you live in the nice area.

Im 27 4YNCB clean licence with halifax and i pay just over £500- no mods to car though

Adrian Flux is spose to be good for GTis isnt he?
