I wouldn't touch a diesel in a little car, you want a revvy little petrol. Diesels just rattle the car to bits and make driving them a chore.

You've never driven a Mini Cooper diesel then ?

The mrs wants a polo but we only want an auto! leaving us with the choice of the 1.4na or the 1.4tsi. Want to keep mpg as high as possible! Wish they did the 1.6tdi or 1.2tsi with dsg.

I had the 1.4N/A DSG as a courtesy when the ED30 was in VW for some work...

Great box but I found the 1.4N/A FAR too underpowered, I would really strugle with it as a every day car..

she currently drives a c1, being under powered isnt an issue!

been looking at the up instead.

She drives 14miles a day, I used it too and from work too then the golf on any long journeys.

Like the fact the up gets heated seats and touch screen sat nav as standard.
