Well I don't see how it cannot be an edition 30, has the engine, stickers, steering wheel, door sills.

Even full hpi check says it's an edition 30, so I have no idea how people can say it's not an edition 30?

Joe

It might well be an edition 30, but if the seats are cloth they are not the original seats.

No one would swop the half leathers for cloth seats unless they were the Recaro Buckets

Well they may have been switched with recaros as heated seats wasn't plugged in, but I guess you could be right.

Any hoo the car is completely mint!

Why would you change the original wheels for painted Monzas?

Some people, myself included, prefer the Monza design on a Golf. Steve has an Edition 30 with gloss black Monzas.

Given the questions over the seats please either post some clear pics of the interior or the advert will be removed.

This thread is only going to get more interesting.

Just for clarification, are those the seats that you say are cloth Recaros.

So the door cards, handbrake cover and gearknob are not from an Edition 30 either?

No EDITION 30 sticker on the glove box trim.

.... something not right here. askmid.com comes back as edition 30 though...

It looks as if its been stripped of all the good ed30 bits and filled with standard gti bits.

It looks like a lovely car, but the interior is certainly questionable, and I'm sure anyone looking for an Edition 30 will want all the things that differentiate it from a normal GTI. I take it you didn't realise the interior wasn't a usual Edition 30 interior when you bought it?
