« on: December 25, 2012, 06:13:16 pm »
Hi all, have purchased the above . However I have a black car and wondered if poss whether I could use a black polish as well to hide/ remove some fine scratches and how's best to do this . If I use a black polish do I not use the hybrid wax supplied in the kit ??     p.s Merry Christmas to all  :happy2:  :drinking:

Unless the scratches are deep, the marks will be in the clearcoat, which will be clear! Hence no point in coloured polishes. Some polishes are abrasive and are designed to reduce the level of clearcoat. Best used by a machine polisher. The other type of polish tends to have fillers which "fill" the scratches. The finish may or may not be as good and the swirls will reappear over time as the fillers degrade.

The wax is the LSP and is supposed to "lock in" the finish by providing a layer of protection.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Clay the car
Polish it (say zaino all in one )
Glaze with PB blackhole or prima amigo
Wax it.....loads of choices depending on budget
