Heated Replacement Door Mirror Glass
« on: December 28, 2012, 06:45:07 pm »
Strangely the mirror from my drivers side door has gone missing en route to the North East. The backing plate is still attached.

Does anyone have a part number? Do I need to buy just the glass or the backing plate too?

Both of mine have removed themselves recently. Just get the glass and it will fit back onto the dark grey backing plate.

I got advice from here to fix mine with no more nails tape - a few quid at B&Q. I trimmed it down it's middle lengthwise and stuck it around the outside edge of the back of the glass and pushed it on.

My heat function still works with this tape if a little less efficient.

Cool, where did you get the mirror glass? I noticed they sell it in Halfords...

I bought some heated blue-tinted replacement glass off ebay, to match my blue-tinted window glass.  :happy2:

The Euro car parts one is a proper one as i had to get one for mine after someone decided they didnt like the look of the price of a heated / tinted mirror so thought they'd take mine.... then broke it in the process of stealing it!

yes you can.... the usual forum discount code (25%) off isnt working at the moment - this is because they are having a sale on at the moment.
