Cinewall or Alternative

In the new house we will be installing a media wall for the TV and associated gubbins. Has anyone used or know anyone that has purchased a Cinewall?

Its available in lots of different colours.

Seems excellent for cable management and easy to set up.

All have merits. But im impressed by the ease of setup for the Cinewall and relative cost compared to other options.

Any other alternatives? I dont want to just wall mount the TV and have wires in a trunk, or have a cantilever tv stand or just have a wall bracket with shelves. The cable management for them isnt that great.

Hmm... as its a new build it will be a piece of piss to hide the wires in the plasterboard.

That cinewall just seems overkill. IMO a plain wall mount will look neater.

The cinewall would be added to with the media box and mood lights. Eventually, the cost would be somewhere around the same as the other units.

I dont really want just a plain wall mount. I know its a new build, but the TV will be mounted to the external wall in the room and im unsure of the construction and whether its just a plaster board cavity with insulation? Its possible. But i still dont want a wall mount only and some random shelves or a media unit underneath. I want it to look really nice too. :D

The wife and I often discuss this when we are doing flat pack, and dont argue at the same time.

I think the cinewall is the best of those. The bottom one is very fussy.

Ikea do some similar units too. But they are just as expensive.

+1 - i think so too.

We used to use a company called Artcoustic for Media Walls but they stopped making them because they said that people were ripping off their design with some sheets of MDF, foam and fabric.

My companies USP is coming up with creative ideas for hiding TV's, speakers, projectors etc. The cables always go inside the walls for the neatest finish. check out some finished projects here for a few ideas - www.nvintegration.co.uk

Yep, that first one looks the best option.I was going to do a similar thing when our extension is complete but just build out a section of the wall around 6'' like a fake chimney breast with a side door for all the gubbins.
