Noggy Audi 8l S3
« on: December 30, 2012, 12:53:20 pm »
May as well start a thread for this.

Most of you will know the car already, and those of you on FaceBook will know its now in my ownership.

I looked at many cars but this gave the most bang for buck and its been extremely well looked after.

It's an 01' Audi S3 Facelift model in Nogaro blue.

It's an original Irish car and it was specced decently from the factory with the following:

Sunroof
Armrest
Higher spec Bose sound system
Rear parking sensors
Heated seats

Over the last year its had a small bit of work done:

Full engine rebuild
CR Engineering hybrid turbo
440cc Injectors
4 Bar FPR
Badger5 TIP
Forge DV
Shallow sump
Forge front mount Intercooler
Ferodo DS500 pad
Uprated ATE brake fluid
Short shifter
Joe Power Remap
H&R Spacers: 10mm front and 25mm rears
Intrax coilovers
Cruise control

It's also had new:

Xenon bulbs
Plastic windscreen tray
New registration plates
New OEM fuel pump
Air flow meter
Loads of breather hoses
New bushings

It came with winter tyres and Porsche adapters that are not fitted.

Enough talking, here's some pictures I got off the phone earlier after a quick rinse:

I'm sure that I'm forgetting lots. I have a few plans for the car and some bits got already which I'll post at a later date.

But for now I'll finish up with this:

Bought these:

Got these:

And refurbed:

Thanks folks.

Could'nt get the spacers off at the rear due to 2 rung bolts so it's a bit pokey and the 'stance' needs some messing, but I'm pretty happy with them. Here's some sh*tty phone pics in the rain:

Still needs a good detail, but I'm getting some paint done after winter, so it can wait, as much as it annoys me.

Helios are now gone....
They made way to buy some bits for an upcoming trip across Europe and visit to the Ring for a trackday   :ympray: .

Porsche caliper adapters I got off Doc:

Ferodo DS2500 pads for the Porsche calipers:

Yokohama Advan Neova Ad08 road legal semi slicks:

They will be going on the 17" Avus which I'll refurb, probably in an anthracite colour.

One of the only things I did'nt like about the car was the steering wheel, it's one of the most important parts of the car IMO so I've got one on the way retrimmed in alcantara:

And a gear gaiter to match (which should look like this fitted):
