Welcome on board and to the Eddy club as well.  :drinking:

Stage 1 will add around 20% so somewhere north of 280bhp. A CAI will release some more ponies as will a Pre cat deleted TBE (stage 2). Bhp is not imported IMO, its the whole package, if you add power (and more importantly torque) other areas of your car will need improving such as the handling and most definitely the brakes.

Stage 1, an Anti Lift Kit and some form of BBK is a good base (and maybe a Cold Air Intake for good measure )

Enjoy your new toy!

 :happy2:

What is bbk?
I understand totalling what you mean about brakes although I'm on a tight budget unfortunately.

I've been ready up on map and the dv can split will this happen on a stage 1 ?

Sorry. BBK - Big Brake Kit.

Have a look through this thread below, a great kit (called the NQS BBK by its creator DaveB, a member on here) doesn't have to be expensive (relatively speaking)......

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,13985.0.html

Your Diverter Valve should be fine but as the Revision G (latest flavour of the month if not the latest DV) is only £35 ish I would change it anyway as a precautionary measure. It's a 5 minute job to swap over as your DV is right at the front on your Eddy. The Revision G has been shown to hold boost better, with no leaking, then the later version Revision D. Having an Eddy with a K04 Turbo'd car which comes with plenty of headroom for future tuning.

Part number for a Revision G Diverter Valve if you require it -  06F 145 720 G

If your car is DSG, then ask about a DSG map too, if its a manual you will (sooner rather than later) need an up rated clutch fitting due to all those excitable new torques.

REVO for Linear map with the benefit of the SPS+ switch would be a good place to start for an "out the box" map or Rtech for a custom map, they are 1/2 the price of REVO as well.

Not cheap but another good addition to a mapped 2.0T FSI engine will be a High Pressure Fuel Pump. Something to look into for the future.

Worth a thought.

 :drinking:

Hi, is that new diverter valve recommended for a 2006 GTI also?

^^^^ Yes, IMO.

2006 GTI will have the older Revision C Diverter Valve IIRC so a Revision G (diaphragm version) or even the Revision D (piston version) would both be better but IMHO I'd go for the Revision G.

I've had rev D for a while now, and have recently noticed "actual boost pressure" is not matching requested via VCDS... so will be trying rev G soon.
By all accounts rev d won't fail on you (its a piston rather than diaphragm), but may very well LEAK, which is as good as failing to me... better to have to replace the G every couple of years and get FULL boost for that time than keep a D and have it not holding boost.

Rev D is newer and more expensive than Rev G.

^^^^ personal choice, IMO I say Revision G but some say D.

A few threads around here on Diverter valves and which is best. All you'll get is peeps own personal experience so its an ETTO thing. I seem to remember a tuner said the G seems to hold boost better which is good enough for me and as mentioned its a wee bit cheaper too, only £15 though.

Thanks for taking the time to write that for me! Appreciate it.

Also could anyone point me in the direction of a wheels thread?
Would like to see what my car would look like with some ck or Lm's on but without being lowered.

Also is it possible to get a iPod aux plug in from the 1cd head unit?

Cheers
