my own 335d stock would easily keep with my Revo stg2 ED30, tested it a few times.

With the greatest respect I don't believe you, get some video evidence of this and the 335D pulling away at 70mph, then Ill believe you......

And on another note why is your 335d stock?

why not buy the racelogic box that PDT is hopefully going to do a GB for, and then you will be able to measure how quick your car is in the real world, for example what is the power to weight ratio of Hurdy's car? May not be that high compared to some that could be mentioned (any ideas?) but it is pulling steady 0-60 at 3.8 seconds there aint much going to live with that in the real world. The fastest Ed30's fall down on traction but once up and running... I do believe Steve/Craig @ Stattlers will be able to tell a story regarding how a twin turbo RS4 with over 700bhp was a bit miffed that he could not pull away from the Eddie at Bruntingthorpe..

but in the real world who does 0-60s?  Its an irrelevant performance comparison for many cars i think.  In gear acceleration times are what show true performance of an engine/car

i agree but that was the only figure i could quote off the top of my head Sy! I was alluding to the fact that the box would hopefully be able to record a lot more useful date about your own cars performance

PDT - What spec/power is your stage 2 ED30? When my car was stage 2 ish (320bhp) I'd easy pull away from standard 335 diesel or petrol.

I can only comment on my own experiences, where the FWD golf would struggle for grip the RWD car would pull away easily, then both we're similar in performance until high speeds where the BMW was better. On a different day with different drivers the result may have been different.

I had a go against a stg2+ golf in the 335d when it was mapped, the BM walked away from it, again down to grip levels. Golf was driven and owned by a member on here.

Both were 100% healthy, on our dyno ED30 making 319bhp and 324ftlb and the 335d making 287bhp but a massive 439ftlb.

Oh dear, that kinda puts that to bed doesn't it:

Mapped 335d vs Stage2 Pirelli (ed.30)... says it all!

Just to clarify the 335d in the video is not stock as the YouTube description says... they later found out the 335d was infact chipped.

A standard 335d vs the same car...

I have had experience of this and the end result was the same. Unsure if the 335 was tuned but it sure as hell couldn't keep up. ( Just in my experience)

Love how it says closed road at beginning of clip and yet you see about half a dozen cars going opposite direction and then they pass an HGV  :signLOL:

BMW 335D against Stage 2 eddie has no chance, even stage 2 BMW 335d with 350bhp will not win, all tjhat extra weight will not overcome the 30bhp extra it has.
