Currently still employed by the queen as a Plant Operator & Mechanic which also involves being a class 1 licence so often drive hgv's but due to an injury out on your I'm now getting discharged but having my Uni fees paid for so going to do my Mechanical Engineering degree at Liverpool and as a part time job I'll be a self employed lock smith (specialising in vehicles) n also part time driving for a race team called Mission Motorsport which is aimed for injured ex service men n women. They race in Britcar series in a 370Z for 2012 but hopefully getting a GTR for 2013 season n they also race powerboats so trying to get a look into that too :)

....As you have injuries, you may find powerboat racing a bit too painful but only you can decide that  :happy2:

I'd love to see a poll created in this thread, of the percentage of people who are happy in their current employment.
It seems most peeps I speak to from various walks of life aren't contented with their job.

....I get the impression that most folks on this forum are happy with their job - I hope so just for their happiness!

No job, no matter how perfect, is always happy every single day of the year - It's the overall job satisfaction which matters.

I love my job. I'm lucky in that it's what I've always wanted to do. I'm not a workaholic though, I try very hard to maintain a good work/life balance. Whilst working my way up the ladder I used to have to work a lot of over time and it started to erode my passion for what I do. My family is always number one.

Me too. Love my job.  :happy2:

The good days, bad days, dull days and exciting days make the whole and i wouldn't change a thing. For me, my job is something I do to pay for the things I want to do in life when I'm not there.  My family have always come first and my job is a poor, distant second in that regard. I'd much rather be known for who I am and not what I do.
