centre dash vent
« on: January 02, 2013, 12:47:55 pm »
looking at fitting one of these to my gt tdi.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Golf-Mk5-Gti-Top-Dash-Heater-Cover-1k0819153b-/121042554891?pt=UK_Car_Interior_Accessories&hash=item1c2eb2d00b

Has anyone done this? What are they like to fit? i assume its just the case of taking the two screws out of the top tray and dropping it into place. But im unaware of the correct connections already being in place?

thanks

shaun

I swapped for one of these in my tdi, works when the blowers are on face and not on the screen. 2 screws to swap like you said

Well you still get a bit of screen clearing even when have fans blowing facewards.

Yeah, its just a cap that covers it. I think a little sensor goes there if you have climate control

Got the same one on mine, came on the car, as said the cap at the back is a sensor, mine has the climate control and has one there
How hard can it be?

How about this one - could sell it again with your tray in it instead - still make £40 or more
