Thread name - rules or guidance?
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:13:01 pm »
Guys,

Just a thought, but it would be easier to "extract" information from the forum if everyone gave their thread titles meaningful names rather than "just a question" or "a little help required"

It would be a lot easier to find the information with the search function this way.

Would it be a good idea to request this in the forum rules? (if it isn't already?)

Just a thought. . .

Good idea, but good luck enforcing that one. Lets be honest the people who use the search function, don't post much anyway for obvious reasons.  :rolleye:

If you even suggest to use the search function, you get shot down by members wanting to talk about the same thing over and over again.   :fighting2:

Search doesn't just "search" titles but body text also; but your recommendation would make things clearer, not only for a forum search but for the SERP's too.  Getting peeps to do this would be a task though.

I never click on vague subject titles.

Not that I'm much help, but still - their loss! :P
