I have just contacted VW Colbournes Guildford, see this thread which I have put up as it relates specifically to my car:

http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,59206.0.html

Using the part number for Rev D in the thread, I was told it could be ordered and would be with them on Monday.

The fact your car is modified shouldn't make a difference. You boughta part and it has failed . Question is why and are you sure it was diverter valve and not another issue? I mean did you log boost?

Just interesting that's all :happy2:

Well the car drives better with my old 'c' valve on, boost spiked at 1.8bar with the 'g' valve on, and the reoccurring faulty n249 valve fault code hasn't appeared since I changed it over :happy2:

There argument will be the extra boost caused it to fail. The parts man is a good bloke, so of he could have done it, he would have

Probably the D isnt showing as available due to being superceeded by the C a few months back. I would presume you are K04 and it is an easy job to replace the dv. I would opt for the another G again. The D can leak from new and in my car it felt sluggish low down and the engine wasnt as responsive as it is with the G. I treat dvs as a wear and tear item like brakes etc.

I only revved the car, and it came back on with the 'g'  :surprised:

Heres teh boost spike

The revision 'C' wasnt available at the dealers either, that was classed as being superceeded by the 'G' also :happy2:

Is VW the cheapest place to buy these from or do any of the traders sell them cheaper?
