visited my local VW dealer today to take a look at mk7!

I am really disappointed to be frank.... Interior is on par with mk5 and in flash it looks worse than on the pics... I was expecting to be wowed by the interior and was happy to get back to my mk5 and drive home. Th eonly positive thing with mk 7 is low consumption but who is bother with that really?? GTI is reasonably economical anyways!

The grass is always greener on the other side.

Hopefully gti will be better.

Walked past one in the showroom yesterday, at first glance I thought it was a Polo!!. Had some nice points inside but some of the interior plastics didn't feel as nice, such as the door handles.
Bye Bye Edition 30.

Its not too bad, a little disappointed there are no skirts to finish the side profile off a bit better.  Rear wheels look a little set in too.

Now the question - if you had the cash in your pocket, new GTI or MK6 R ... or even something like a TTRS - some choice around that kind of money now.

That depends on how much the MK7 GTI is going to be, and that hasn't been announced. I suspect I'd probably go for a MK7 GTI with the performance pack over an R though. The TTRS doesn't interest me at all.

Do we know if they do a Edition 30/35 car, usually that comes well spec'd and looks a little meaner  :happy2:

I think it's safe to say there will be a MK7 GTI EDITION 40. Lets hope it's bloody special at that age!

I would deffo consider an ED40.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Planning on having a look around a MK7 at lunchtime - if they have one at my local dealer yet.

I'm pretty pissed off because they have a brand new Edition 35 in my ideal spec (Tornado red, 5 door, DSG) that I'd pull the trigger on immediately, if only we were 6 months down the line.

The mk5 is like the mk1 of the new age of vw .  The mk6 is like the mk2 more refined ... and well the mk7 looks like its taking place of the mk3 ..... sh*te!  :signLOL:
