Just buying one marque is like eating pizza for the rest of your life, you may have a slightly different topping every now and again, but it's still pizza.
That's a great quote. :laugh:

Only thing is some of us have been to Naples and had pizza whilst others have had theirs mainly frozen, with a Domino's on occasion.

So the pizza index might be:

Audi = Marks & Spencer
VW = Sainsbury's
Seat = Co-Op
Skoda = Tesco
? = Lidl/Aldi
?? = Netto

What sort of clown would put tiny brakes like that on a hot hatch?

VXR looks pretty special, they're finally getting it right...

The same clown that put 312mm on the gti's

Those ST brakes are 320mm though......  :confused:

f*ck me the focus is ugly.

Agree with the above, crap pads.

Also agree with the trying other marquees. Put some spice in yer life. But I suppose on the flip side, some people just know what they like and stick to it. Personally, next car won't be a VAG. Ready to own RWD.

I could fill in the blanks , but I'd get shouted down again by the vauxhall/ford brigade because I'm a badge snob  :indifferent:

I'm not shouting you down, but it was a pretty narrow minded remark. I've had a Golf and an A3 recently and have a B6 A6 avant and an M135i at the moment...I've also had more MKII GTIs than I can remember. I enjoyed all the VAGs greatly, but they weren't the best cars in the world by any stretch.
Sideways yo!

Not narrow minded , it is how I feel about vauxhall's. This is just my opinion and it shouldn't be taken to heart. I guess we'll just have to disagree.
Any way back on topic....

I never liked any of the older Vauxhalls... but the new breed look great, still a bit chav-tastic, but I bet there are a hoot to drive and 2 piece 4 pots are win.

Personally its nothing to do with the badges and what is on them for me, I drive a SEAT,

You buy your car because you like it, no matter what badge is on it, well that counts for some people anyway lol,

What is in your blood is in your blood

cars are just things to drive and enjoy regardless of the badge just drive em they all have pro and cons but for me i just enjoy driving cars no matter the badge.I drive a Honda all day got the golf in the grg and got a little phase 1 clio 172 to turn into a track toy.If a car suits your lifestyle then who cares what others think of the badge as long as your happy and your enjoying it nothing else matters  :driver:

Mods yes but way too many to stick in this little box

two piece 4 pots, an LSD plenty of power and a 5 year warranty.

Its got a lot going for it, if a little pricey.

Just found out the St is available as an estate  :party:

Finally a decent alternative to the Octavia vRS estate.  Might see if there is one in a show room near me.

the old car had a 2.5 lump in it. it's all about Weight.

weird isn't it that VW done the same with the "poor" 312's :P

Despite it's loss of a cylinder, it appears it isn't much if any lighter. Although it's had to confirm for sure.
