best thing to clean cloth gti seats

my cloth seats need a really good clean. whats the best thing to clean them with. also is it possible to seal them with something. as when its raining and i get in the car. the rain drops seem to mark my seats and it looks awful.
   i knew i should of got a car with leather :signLOL:

I had that same problem with the seats in my mk4. It is indicative of dirty seats! Just give them a good scrubbing, then a thorough drying out and you should find the problem will disappear.

As for what to clean them with, have a look in your owners manual, I think it recommends something in there.

I just clean my seats with a damp microfibre cloth and this seems to work better than anything else i've tried. Just make sure to wipe all the grey area evenly or you will see water marks when it dries. For any stubborn stains like chocolate etc. Comma interior cleaner is good.

Megs APC for me, meant for material however it has sooo many other uses. Great value product

Megs APC and Atuosmart G101 are both multi purpose cleaners that are meant to also be great on interiors.  Never tried either on seats but after spilling some pink (yes, pink) Lucozade i'll need to try something

Autoglym interior shampoo worked a treat for my seats - took water marks and dirt out an smells great
VCDS cable HEX-USB+CAN. New but can do the basics including coding

Autoglym interior shampoo worked a treat for my seats - took water marks and dirt out an smells great

I have some of this, just need to get round to giving the seats a good clean.

I found no matter how many times I clean my seats they look good then after a few days when they dry out stains come back I Definately miss the leather from my gti lol I've been using autoglym interior shampoo but have tried a few products I had in the house but no luck
