I have had a gopro for a few years now.
Love mine!
I use mine on my jetski most of the time but I have used it for paintballing, go karting and even in the golf;)

The newer ones are the ones to have. They have wifi built in, so you can stream the video to your smart phone.

You can even do some time lapse photography as well  :happy2:

What ever one you get make sure it's HD.

Any vids with the camera mounted there?  :happy2:

I got the black in the end and a load of assesories and managed to get 10% discount. Am out in the Alpes snowboarding at the moment using it and have to say I'm very impressed so far. Awesome bit of kit and I haven't even started editing yet....

A friend of mine who regularly snowboards uses a Contour+2 and says:

" My mates use the GoPro range and there are pros and cons with both devices. Personally I think the GoPro records better HD but has poor low light quality and the sound is tinny. It also has this really annoying rattle coming from one of the joints on the mount which you can hear in lots of clips.

And my biggest annoyance with both of these - the cost. A brand new GoPro 3 Black in the UK is £359. In the US its the equivalent of £220. Hopefully I'm getting someone  to get me one when they travel to the States though.

My Contour I have strapped to my hand which makes filming on a snowboard easy, the GoPro lends itself to helmet mounting or even the chest rig but they both also lend themselves to some creative DIY mounts.

This was my custom mount that attached to the rail system that the bindings on my snowboard attach to:

^^ I've tried this set up but it makes you illwatching it back... every single bump from the snow seems like 10x worse...

I found a pole is best to capture smooth films...

I understand.  What about a still / screen shot to give an idea of the view?  :happy2:

You will need 8GB minimum (pref. 16GB) to edit HD video.... 4gb isn't enough.
