If it's that cheap, then surely it makes up for paying a little more tax each year?
Sideways yo!

Why are you that worried about it?

It's around £200 a year, £20 a month.

If your thinking of running a R32 this shouldn't be putting you off lol

Are you sure?, I think you will find its £475 against £270 for a pre April 2006 car

No I'm not that worried about it. It's only £20 a month if you put it that way yes but still a big sting at the end of each year. It's no big deal just a shame because it would have been perfect otherwise. Still taking a look at it though, just makes it a bit pointless going for a 7 year old one when the tax on a 2009 one will be the same but I guess the car itself will be a higher price anyway.

I think dan b was making the point it's an extra 200 a year ie an extra 20 a month.

Sorry for bumping my own post but I just checked the car's reg plate and it's manual according to the insurance companies so we'll have to see,  :signLOL:

Anyway slightly off topic but in my massive search I stumbled across this one on ebay which I thought looked very tidy. There's something with it that screams out to my immature side and seems cool. What do you guys make of it? Yes I know the tax band is the higher one, I just thought it looked quite unique.

A lot of good points, especially the brake upgrade and BBS CK's. If you like that colour scheme, go for it. Good history and mileage is spot on.

Yeah the grill looks a bit terrible doesn't it? Haha. It looks like a GT TDI. Easily changed though!
