Quick question about smoke testing
« on: October 12, 2024, 04:20:58 pm »
Hi guys. I wanted to ask you if it’s normal when performing a smoke test with the machine connected to the intake to have smoke buildup under the valve cover? I did it yesterday and there was a lot of smoke when I opened the oil fill cap.

So I’m guessing that’s normal. Next question. Where to hook up the smoker to test the vacuum lines. My brakes feel quite stiff although the car brakes ok.

Never used a smoke tester myself but I would check you vac booster pipe that goes from vac pump on the end of the head to the servo, they're plastic and can snap.
