Is it possible to get the standard vw alarm modified to provide full closure on one press of the keyfo ? Ie just the locking press?

Press and hold the lock button on remote, should put your windows up (and sunroof if you have one)  :happy2:

Slightly off topic, how do I test my alarm? Can I leave my window open a bit then just wave my hand in after a double lock? Or does it need to be left a certain amount of time to be activate?

I'd like it set up like my old golf where one push closed everything. You never had to worry about whether a window was open or stand and hold the button down while watching them close.

I found out mine works by accidentally leaving the sun roof open all night, then it pissed down all night and woke most of the street up!!
However this idea is not reccomended as the seat gets a little damp...:-(

You need to enable the auto rain closing windows and sunroof if you haven't done since!

Yeah, through VCDS. I followed this guide to activate it on mine:

Press and hold fob for more than 2 secs and then you can let go.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

No they don't. I had one that used to work with the mk4 but wouldnt with the mk5 so treated myself to a genuine Ross-Tech one. Expensive but worth it if you are intending on keeping the car for any length of time.
