Bit of an oddity...
« on: January 08, 2013, 01:42:28 pm »
Started the car today as normal and I noticed that the ESP and the tyre pressure light didn't go out.
I pressed the buttons and that did nowt.So I left it.
The car drives fine, with no problems and I've been to the garage and checked the pressures and topped up where neccessary and that has made no difference to the tpm.
It's just strange that without any warning signs and the car parked up overnight, that both these lights should decide to stay on.
Anyone experienced this?Any ideas before I head of to get it checked out with a diagnostic?

Could just be a sensor issue or worst case your abs unit is faulty. A scan should point you in the right direction.
Without traction power is nothing!

Just wanting to know if any light was shed on this, happened to mine today. Started the car and the tyre pressure light and esp both remained on. Neither will turn off at the button.

Ok this problem has just rectified itself after another short drive, so i guess nothing to worry about for now.

Keep an eye on it as mine done that then a month or so later the EPC light joined in along in a loss of power and an occasional EML. Tuned out to be the throttle body.

when you say rectified itself do you mean the lights have gone out or you have scanned the car and there are no faults... the lights will go out by themselves as they run on a key cycle so after a number of turns of the key they turn off...
