Removing fog light cover - access to horn
« on: January 12, 2013, 04:08:10 pm »
I need to get access to the horn. I can't put up with that apology for a squeek any longer!
But how do you get the fog light cover off?
I have searched and found a link that shows about taking the screw out, putting your finger in the hole..... then pulling the cover away from that side and unclipping the other side.
But I can only move the side and a bit of the bottom of the cover about 20mm. Its then stuck at the top.
I don't want to force it and break something - am I missing something?

Thanks

.
It might be a csae of using some firm pressure - You won't break anything.

This is what you expose when you succeed in removing the foglight panel...............

I think that access to the horn is probably easier from below...............

Thanks for the reply. V clear pics.
There looks to be slots at the top on the inner recess of the 'wing hole' - does the fog light panel locate in these? Could it be sticking there?

....I think so but I've had carbonfibre panels on mine for a few years so have forgotten.

[Any excuse for RR to post a pic!]

^^^^
Now you know where the exact fixing points are you should find it easier to tug.

Just undo the screw and give a good pull! It only clips in and shoudn't be too hard to get out. Mine come out quite easily.
