Relocation kit for DV on K03 car
« on: January 09, 2013, 03:58:13 pm »
Hi,

Does anyone have any links to kits or the pieces for relocating the DV on the K03 GTI's?

As mine will be getting a new turbo shortly i figure it would be handy to do this too as it will help with the intake kit (not having to plug the recirc point) and just make it easier for future maintenance of the DV.

Cheers
Ant

Thanks :)
Roll on the dry weather so I can make use of both again properly!

I just found an old post of mine when i was looking at this a couple of years ago with all the part numbers on so might go down that route, just wondered if there was a kit to save me the hassle of messing about with some OEM parts and some not.

Z1000 isnt bad, although i've had it almost 18 months now and fancy a change again already and am thinking of getting an KTM RC8 next, but we'll see... need to test ride one once the weather improves!

As for the Forge kit... finding anything on their website is a nightmare, so if they do its probably buried in depths of the site somewhere! I know the bung for the turbo can be found under Astra VXR apparently and i randomly came across the pipe from the DV back to the intake recently too but no idea how i found that!

Funny you should say that. That's exactly what she wants. Fairly pricey though!
You'll be waiting forever for the weather to improve!

Haha true that. Just had a look, is this it?!

The k03 turbo has the d/v bolted onto the bottom of it , i am unsure how you would do it with the k03... Possibly some sort of block off point ? then you would need the k04 intake pipe and the relocation brackets that can all be taken from an ed30 setup .. would be able to ask vw parts guy or some one on here should know. I am sure this has been done to a few cars on here and there is a write up somewhere.

I know how to do it and whats needed. My link here with the parts etc. http://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,17716.msg252292.html#msg252292

Was just seeing if there was an off the shelf kit with all the bits in to save messing around and avoiding stealer prices and make it easier to give to the garage replacing my turbo whilst they're under it.

I'll prob leave it if there isnt and then get the bits to fit myself in the summer

I wouldn't bother doing at all... there is practically no benefit.

I relocated mine. Not really any performance benefits.

I went through a couple of DV's and it became a little tiresome getting to it and now its very easy to check.
