Detailing in NI
« on: January 09, 2013, 07:48:09 pm »
Has anyone had any experience of Detailing Companies in NI. I have seen one called OCD NI and wondered if anyone knows much about their work.

Have often wondered the same, OCD is the only place I know of but again no personal experience of their work.

I recently had my mk5 tackled by Pete at PMG Autocare Ballyclare.  Great detailer and is a dab hand at stonechip repair.
I had a paint enhancement done which is a budget package he offers involving;
- full safe wash
- 3 stage decontamination
- wheels removed, cleaned and sealed front and back
- 2 stage machine polish (moderate correction) this will remove paintwork defects to around 70% correction
- application of glaze and wax or sealant
- all exterior trim dressed
- glass cleaned inside and out

Charges £150 which is excellent considering the work put in.

He also offers a vehicle enhancement package which focuses on the interior also, again £150

It would need to be pretty luxurious for £100+ vat. He did say packages can be tailored to individuals needs.

lol! Some price for a wash, but when it comes to correction and protection Rollo at OCD-NI knows what he is at.

A friend had his black Mk5 GTI done by Peter at PMG and did a fantastic job.

There's is also Tim at Pure Finish who is most definitely a pro in his field.

I've had mine done before by a friend Ruth in Lisburn, who used to detail full time from home. However she has recently moved on to different things. I think I'm going to give Pete at PMG a try around Easter this year.

There was also DetailNI based in Bangor, but I'm not sure if they are still about.

Lol - Rollo Gillespie. He was a few years behind me at school in Armagh...maybe he'll give me a discount as I don't remember bullying him...

Small world and NI is a very small place.
