Bad news = good news! Nice one!  :happy2:

I take it you've got someone to paint it then mate?

P.S. Sorry to hear about your Swine Flu, go to the docs and get some oinkment!  :signLOL:

Loving the jokes guys............

Yea Nath, the painter sealed the deal to be honest.  I popped to a local place that did an awesome job filling and blending a friends silver door and wing so well, I had no idea where it had been painted. I'd been told he is a real perfectionist so before I priced up the splitter I popped in for a price.  Anything under £100 and it was a done deal.  He said he'd paint, remove the old one and fit the new one for £70

When i asked about colour match he said shouldn't be an issue on black especially on trim that size but said if it looks out he will flick it into the bumper for me.  I was gonna ask for you to get me a price from your mate but £70 sealed it with a 2 mile drive.

I couldn't get quite such a good deal on the splitter though, paid £18 more than you but couldn't be bothered with any more hassle for such as small amount.  Roll on Thursday

Yea it was trench Wayne. To be honest I always used vw bridgenorth until I started using votex but regarding parts, the trench guys always tended to give me 10-20% discount. Not a lot of margin on the bumper apparently?

And yea, tesco at the retail park, over to the very right so you are facing kfc, the spaces are really short with a high curb at the end. I was making sure the back end was far enough in and went too far. The space Is about as long as the golf, you'd struggle in a big car.

Ref shrewsbury, nice new plot, the petrol would have narrowed the price to the point it wasn't worth shopping around

Nice discount... :happy2:  My custom is not welcomed at Trench due us having a blazing row with the Dealer pricipal in the showroom over his failed attempts to put my car right... :angry015: He didn't once offer us to go to his office for a more "private" conversation... :signIWS:

Always tend to use the wifes Polo when we visit there... :innocent:

Good point...

....

Ryan, it sounds more like Man Flu than Swine Flu.

Obviously you getting the Ed30 splitter was a decision made by the Gods of Fate and it was meant to be. You had no choice really.
