Watched last night too, long but great film.

....I hate it when a really good movie is too short.

Very entertaining throughout (if a little harsh in places) typical QT, well worth watching this.

....QT likes to tell it like it is and times could be harsh out there in those days.

Check out this interview with QT:  http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2013/jan/11/tarantino-krishnan-guru-murthy

....Extremely rarely nowadays, not for years - I'm a saddo who now lives alone and I don't like going to the cinema on my own.

No, I didn't know about Matroska aka MKV files. But I'm not sure how it would help me.

Yes, I am the sort of fella who really enjoys movies but most I see are on telly and also I only have Freeview and not Sky TV etc.

There's a movie on BBC4 tonight called "Lebanon" based on a true story of a tank crew - The trailer suggests it's quite a harsh movie though. I'll probably give it a go and can always switch it off if it doesn't draw me in.

The last two good movies I saw recently (on TV) were "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" original Swedish version and Liam Neeson in "Unknown".

No other forum members in my neck of the woods who are movie lovers.

I've got a good copy of it so I'll be settling down to watch it tonight once I've battled with the snow on the way home

Bollocks, I have a short attention span as it is. I can't stand films that are longer than they need to be - all of the Lord of the Rings movies spring to mind.

....Then I guess you hate those beautifully art directed Fellini films and especially as they are invariably subtitled.

Who decides how long a film "needs to be"? You could apply the same to music. I suppose it's down to whether the content holds an individual's interest enough but that can be enjoyed, or not, on several levels.

Strange deduction. The length of the movie is irrelevant - it's whether it is justified. I just hate filler.

And I'm more than happy with subtitles. In fact my all time favourite movie is La Haine, which is entirely subtitled, and black and white!
