Suspension on way out :(
« on: January 11, 2013, 08:00:28 pm »
Hi I believe my top strutt is on its way out it knocks/clicks on certain locks noice coming from passenger side and when u hot a pot hole or deep groove it bangs :( I was told maybe a spring :(

Just wanted to know what other damage it can cause when driving does it damage the metal area where mount sits?

Am 30 miles from home and I have all new fk suspension at home just need top mount kit with bearing which I am away to purchase tomorrow or Sunday

Would anyone think car would last few more days or is it a go home and leave till new set up on

I drove mine around with loads of clicks and clunks for a while (think it was shock absorber related)

It will be fine, as long as there is no play in the wheel?

Agreed, my top mounts were replaced on my ED30 and all that happens is it eates into the rubber more, which is goes in the bin anyway.
Golf R gone.
