Well... the weight is only to calculate the BHP. I put in 1550 as the weight. Thats was a guess from hurdys 1610kg Golf R which is probably a bit heavier than an ed30.

....Well, this possibly might not help but the last time my car was weighed with myself and about half a tank of V-Power it was 1492kg (DSG Mk5 GTI). UNIbraces have been added since that time but I have shaved off 12kg by changing from Monza 2's to OZ Alleggerita's.

So 1500Kg ish is about right, give or take a few left over mince pies!  :ashamed:

....I forgot to say that my DSG Mk5 GTI is a 5-door, which might make a difference to the weight.

DSG counts for an extra 19Kg over the manual and a standard Mk5 GTI DSG 5dr is 1347Kg minus fluids etc which makes it 29Kg lighter than the comparable  Edition 30. Bloody heavy that K04 and all that colour coding!

Needs to be flat really. If you were to put it on the passenger seat right up to the back rest that would work. Just dont slam the anchors on afterwards.

I put mine on the passenger seat, no danger of shooting the iPad off the passenger seat cus I have sh*t brakes  :P

Doesn't an iPad have to be 3G version to connect to GPS? I can't find any info on the hyperinterwebbynet so far.

No 3G and GPS are 2 completely separate things.

....They may be separate but only 3G equipped iPads include a GPS unit - It's attached to the 3G chipset apparently < That makes sense really doesn't it.

So it's as I thought and I can't use Dynolicious. I'm glad I checked it out further before buying Dynolicious even though it's cheap.

....Are you saying that your Wi-Fi only iPad can run Dynolicious, Steve?

There is a possible solution but it costs ~£90:  Bad Elf:  http://gps.about.com/od/accessories/gr/Bad-Elf-GPS-iPad-iPod.htm

Questionable if it's worth it just to run a £3 App and also only occasionally.

....Yup, my butt dyno has given me complete satisfaction for the last 105,000 miles.....   Because, like Cheryl Cole, I'm worth it!

Yes robin, I was the one that alerted John (hurdy) to try a comparison to his race logic setup  :happy2:

It works perfectly fine mate. I want to go out and do some more tests, but I'm currently Ed30 less and also have a pelvis that prevents me from standing  :sad1:

Am I setting the Drivetrain Loss at 0% or a specific figure (and what is that figure)?

Does this affect any results or is it just to do with how its displayed in either BHP or WHP?

Yeah... thats just the figure is uses to calculate HP at the crank from WHP. I read that 14.32% is the figure you should use.

That's totally fine, that will give you a brake horsepower at the wheels when you test it. If yours isn't remapped, I'd expect 185-200 bhp read out. This will be horsepower at the wheels
