Roadside Assistance
« on: July 07, 2009, 07:33:07 pm »
My car is coming to a year old now - in August.

I didnt even realise I had roadside assistance! lol
Ive just received a letter saying I can renew this for £89, or for £145 for 2 years.

Who is this with? Is it just the RAC??

Im currently with the AA, and my membership expires on Nov. Im not sure if I can cancel the remaining few months - but what I usually tend to do is alternate between RAC and AA every year, so I get the cheaper new member benefits etc! lol

What is this VW Roadside Assistance like? Has anyone used them before? Are they any good, or should I let it pass and just stick with my AA membership?

if you ring before 7pm the vw technicians come out in thier own vans who have all the data on the vans ie lap tops...after this time they get some one local near you, think it is rac, which includes home start & full uk recovery

the last time i rang before 7pm the vw techician was thier within an hour but to be fair i think it depends on how busy they are-but when you ring up if you break down they do ask you if you want the rac or a vw techician

Do you think it would be wise to stick with them then, and cancel my AA?
