R32 bucket seats
« on: January 06, 2013, 10:06:06 pm »
Hi guys after some guidance , managed to get hold of some r32 bucket seats at a reasonable price, right time right place. Questions I have a gt tdi 2005 which I wish to fit them too, what is involved, the seats are heated, I'm not to bothered about getting the heating side of things working if its going to get expensive, just don't want the air bag light on, I also have the air con control with heated seat control , which was given to me as part of the deal.
Thanks for any help

if your car didnt have heated seats its quite a big job to get the wiring done for them

you need this loom from kufatec: http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/Volkswagen/Golf-5-/-Golf-5-Plus-1K/Seat-Heating-Harness-VW-Golf-5

its a good 4 hours work if you know what you are doing, and there are several guides around

Any vagcom guy can turn off the airbag warning light. As I fitted RS4 seats I lost the airbag, so not when I turn the ignition on it flashes on the dash, but then vanishes straight afterwards so it passes MOT's and all other bags work fine.
