Roof Vinyl Wrap
« on: July 08, 2009, 09:02:31 am »
I am thinking of having my roof vinyl wrapped - has anyone got any pictures of a reflex silver golf with this done? Just want to see what it may look like!

Also - is it easy enough to remove when i come to sell the beast?

wonder what it would be like on a reflex silver? I would get the mirrors done too at the same time i reckon - one of my mirrors needs painting any way!

Does it peel over time?
Do you wash it as normal?

i did not know you could wax it mat as when i read instructions on wax i use (meguiars gold class liquid wax) it says not too use on vinyl.
since i'v had the vinyl wrap on my car i haven't waxed the vinyl parts but i probably will now since you say its ok.. :happy2:

Household pressure washers are pretty weak! You should be fine. Bigger industrial ones (ones at carwashes as well) could be risky though.

I have got a bit of colinite on my vinyl mask and cant shift.  What is best to remove it, i have tried fairy liquid as i know this removes wax from paint but it had no effect on the carbon vinyl.

Does Dodo juice lime prime not remove wax OR you could try Autosmart Tardis that will def remove the wax
