K&N Typhoon vs Neuspeed P-Flo
« on: January 16, 2013, 04:59:48 pm »
I'm going to get either of these kits but cannot decide which one!

Does anyone have an opinion on either? quality? noise?performance gain?
I think they are fairly similar in noise as I've listened to a few clips on youtube.....

The K&N Typhoon can be got for under £200 notes now and the Neuspeed is £188.70 so there is really nothing in the price!

My GTI is currently Stage 1, Milltek Catback, SALK, autotech HPFP internals (being fitted on 1st Feb), owered on H&R springs (30mm) with a Carbonio CAI (this will be for sale if I get one of the above!)

All opinons welcome!

K&n mate.

Why? they both use the exact same filter and same quality pipe.

Nuespeed is shorter and sits direct in front of air duct but k&n comes with a complete plastic heat shield and pushes are to filter and stops mosthhot air entering unlike the Nuespeed which can draw engine heat.

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression that the neuspeed came with a heatshield but the typhoon didn't.

Will check it out though.

ive got the neuspeed on mine and love it, my mate has the k&n kit and its a lot louder than my neuspeed, im going to custom make a heat shield in stainless although the vent is blasting straight onto the filter and its well away from the engine.

It's more of a screech with the typhoon, my neuspeed doesn't whistle anymore to cure it just move the filter on or off the pipe until the harmonic disappears  :happy2:
