Hi

I have just picked up a MK5 GTI 2006 so have joined the ranks of having a fun car again :)

Needs a Service as at 40,000 anybody know a good garage near Sunbury on Thames for servicing ?

Welcome to the forum.

Get it booked in at AKS Tuning, its a good hour away from you but whilst its there get some extra bits fitted  :wink:

I used to live in Ashford so not far from sunbury. You could always google to see if theres any local Vag specialists around.

Thanks for the info , have gone to the local stealer in Twickenham as its a big service , Cam belt, DSG and Service so taken out a mortgage :)

I've been to them before for parts before and they were quite helpful. Wouldnt like to pay for that little bill though.

^^^^ as your changing the bushes anyway (and haven't had it done yet), go for polyurethane ones, much better bushes. Have a look at Superpro or Powerflex or Whiteline, all good.

My GTI is going in for a Cam belt / pump and DSG service tomorrow, just got a call from VW Garage saying that they had checked my car in the VW system and it has not had the coil pack change , they would be doing this tomorrow at VW expense.... Impressed !!
