I don't buy into the argument about brake upgrades. I have a revo stage1 eddy with an ITG intake pushing around 300 bhp with standard brakes which is perfect for road use. I honestly think that unless you intend to take your car on a track then the standard brakes are fine.
....I used to think that and even politely refused AP Racing's offer of their brakes until one hot summer I was really enjoying some enthusiastic driving and experienced nearly running out of brakes and kissing the wheelnuts of a large lorry! I contacted AP the next day.
I'd much rather have powerful brakes and not always need them than need them only once and not have them. A car doesn't know whether it's on road or track, but of course as you say they are needed more often on trackdays because you are braking hard so often.
The only trouble with strong brakes is that you have to watch for the guy behind you who doesn't and is using your brakes lights to tell him when to brake.
