I gave up looking in the end at disc/pads as i just got confused, ECP had 3-4 different front discs. In the end i just went to the stealers, £240 fitted front disc/pads.

Seemed only £20 or so difference from quotes i got at independents.

Ed30 and std GTI are the same in terms of brakes/suspension.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

They have the listing wrong.  The ed30 and the gti have the same discs and pads. The 200bhp versions are the ones to go for even on the ed30.

Cheers guys thought as much but just needed confirmation. And I don't mind spending money on upkeep but if I can save 130 pounds off dealer prices its a no brainer!   :happy2:

eBay are a bit cheaper than nextdaybrakes.com for the OE Brembo discs.  :happy2:

Find someone with a TPS account.  I bought A4 Avant front discs and pads from TPS (last June) for just over £100 inc Vat.
