Quick update from the painters for me. They have done a sample wing for us and some speed shapes as well, all of which their delivering for us on Saturday! They had one of their painters do the wing for me but arent to pleased with the outcome ( i am ). They asked him to blend a Blue candy into Burple but pics dont really do it justice but i thought id share with you the final 2 colours on our list of choices. Hopefuly paints not too far away now......

Lyle and Chris dont paint many cars nowadays their extremely busy running their hydro dipping companie so im extremely happy they have chosen to undertake mine. Heres one of their previous paintjobs and i know the car well.....

The dark metallic red/ox blood red is a personal fav  :happy2: My brother has got a replica Cobra this colour, but in dire need of a respray.

The blue sample above looks amazing

That is truly awesome! :notworthy: When are you putting the turbo in? I wish there was a cheaper way to strap one to mine.

We decided it had to stay blue as so much has been done to the car and as you can see its just a shade lighter. Looks even better in the sun, just hope we have some this year!

Thankyou......... The car will be painted and will take 1 month ??? Then back home for a month to let paint cure/ harden fully and put it back together and they will have the engine ready to lift in......... I'm sure car will be with them for a month - wiring, plumbing in and final tuning etc

Not been on for a while so were a bit behind again so I'll try my best.
Stripping the car was completed.....

Arches cleaned and sealed

Top mounts altered for adjustable top mounts

Front strut brace fitted

Car reassembled and delivered to painters

A few pics of the prep on the car

Front grills are finished apart from final prep

calipers are finished

Engine is as far as we can go now without car. Internals are complete inc rods, pistons, head etc.  turbo is is all mocked up inc oil lines, pipe work and electrics

Short runner and engine cover need prepping and painting

Still a way to go but its moving. Still aiming at having car painted by beginning of April but we'll see. Car has a stand at Festival of Speed which would be nice but I've given up making plans.......     Matt
