I think a few of you will be shocked by the final colour choice but we had to go with the fastest colour.........

Nope, it's Blue  :happy2:
Here is the final colour... Lacquer and polishing to complete the shine once whole car is painted. I must admit I did like the dark silver though

Thank god it's Blue! , my first thought was "oh no" but that's by far the best colour ever given to the mk5.  :happy2:

GOOD NEWS......
Spoke to Lyle ( the main painter ) this evening. The engine bay is finished :) , the boot shut is now Blue as are the door shuts :) , by the end of the week the backs of the boot, bonnet and doors will be blue :) .
Everything will be base coated by the end of the week inc bumpers :)
Me and Carrinne have been asked to travel down on Wednesday next week to go over the final plan ;)
After we've left they will rebuild and  refit all the panels and check over the car one final time with the aim to have Lyle do a 8 hour uninterrupted marathon to do the final coat.
This then leaves quite a bit of finishing pieces to do but were well on the way..... :)

BAD NEWS.....
Always have to have some I'm afraid but I'm allowed no more pics ( although they are taking plenty )....... I think their excited about how this is going to turn out and want to see our reaction

I'm sorry but that's life.....

 not quite, I have to pay for the work.......  :sad1:

Still excited but not as excited as I am over seeing and hearing my engine come to life  :scared:

The pretty colour is more for the wife, I'd drive it like it was maybe red oxide all over..... No seriously, if their excited then I can't wait as they choose their cars to paint very sparingly and it could be the last they choose to do. They certainly don't do it for the money. Be nice to see it all one colour after a year of waiting.....
