Gearbox recon question
«

Right, motor is in having what has been diagnosed as the input and shaft bearings and possible mesh in 2nd 3rd.
Now, it has a new dmf/clutch and centrcentric bit so what does a recon box entail exactly as I'm having the box repaired due to budgets so wondering if this is classed as a recon?

It sounds as if the box is being reconditioned. This is done by replacing internals in the box; bearings, syncros, etc. The clutch, DMF and release bearing are the coupling components connecting the engine and gearbox.

Had the motor back from re con the box etc, wow!! What a difference, sounds really quiet on tick over, great exhaust note can now be heard better. Have to get used to the lighter clutch but all in all back in the game!! Remap next
