Apparently this is the full mk7 range.

Really not sold on the looks though!


The MK5 was quite uniquely designed and looks wise, took only a smidge of inspiration from the MK4.  :smiley:

The MK6 has grown on me, and looks like a mk5 with a lot more mk4 bodyshape in it.

But the MK7. Its like and mk6 but trying to take a further 1/2 step back into the mk5 and bit of mk4 if you squint!


An they have bought out an electric golf?! Presumably hybrid and not a big G-Wiz  :confused:

They are my views but if you ask me, everything is coming back to our awesome mk5s!  :wink:

Am looking for an MK6 dsg just to get something newer but I cannot ever see myself getting an mk7 at this rate!

As an aside though, is the MK7 platform equipment relatively hot-swappable to mk6? like the mk6 was for the mk5... hmm! research to be done methinks!  :fighting2:

I dont like the look of the MK7. But i did not like the look of the MK6 to start with and now i realy like it.

I do still think that the mk5 looks the best.


Other than a MK2 which i think is the best looking golf ever  :love:

What's in the middle of the lower grill on the GTI?? Looks like a siren of a London ambulance!

Tbh the GTI didn't look all that in them pics compared to the preview at the motorshow(Paris iirc)

I started out with a 1988 F plate Golf GL. What a tank!!! MK2 was soo retro n solid!

Doesnt it just! Prefer the front end of the 4motion and bluemotion.

R front is like its got a big black piece of plastic taped to the front as an afterthought  :sick:

I really hope that isnt a production ready version of the R. Looks like a pile of complete wank compared to the Mk6 R.

Not a big fan yet . Wasn't a fan of the MK6 when it came out . Like the look a bit more now . Trouble is for what you will be paying for a decent spec GTI MK 7 it looks a bit plain and not special enough . The GTI looks ok but is that their intention to get a drivers car that blends in and appeals to more people or will it attract less people . We will see :happy2:

Don't do a lot for me either but some cools pics with the snow over the rear windows,just shows how much s**t gets chucked over the rear.

Couldn't agree more! Lets hope they make some revisions to the styling of the 'R' before releasing it!
