Bluefin has immobilised my car!
« on: January 27, 2013, 09:27:40 am »
I am in at work today and thought I would reload the stage 2 map onto my car during my break.

The process seemed to go ok but halfway through the installation the bluefin unit beeped twice and I got an error stating that the car is immobilised.

Now my car won't start.

I tried to see if I could reinstall the bluefin again and I get a warning saying
" please insert to car that was originally used"

I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 mins to see if it would un immobilise itself but there is no difference.

Has this happend to anyone else? How can it be solved?
Otherwise my car is stuck at work and ill have to get a taxi home and back to work tomorrow.

Have you tried to load original file back onto car from bluefin?

Also double check battery voltage is over 12v ideally 13-14v maybe jump leads to a car that's running

Have you tried to load original file back onto car from bluefin?

The bluefin won't let me do anything as it thinks it is connected to a different car now.

Voltage is 12.4v at the battery

The low battery sounds feasible on either car or bluefin, try and get both topped up and try returning to the standard map, iirc bluefin doesn't wipe the map, just relocates.

This is the first issue I have had with it.

I removed the map for my MOT as I read reports of it running a bit rich and failing on emissions.

Just tried to reinstall the stage 2 today as the snow was starting to clear.

They do have another stage 2 map ready for me to download (uprated hpfp) so will try and download that when I get home and try again when I'm back at work tomorrow morning (start at 6am)

If that doesn't work I will have to phone superchips and hopefully they can help
