My bad use of english.... or poor description....
The surface of the inside of the wheels - 3 of them - is rough, and the dirt, brake dust and grime accumalates quite quickly. I notice this through the holes in the Monza wheels - call me OCD!
Even a blast with a jet wash does not really clean them up.
On a previous car the wheels were painted/sprayed on the inside, leaving a smooth finish and the muck came off much easier.
Its not a 'show and shin'e car but it is pretty tidy and it just irritates me!
You need to get them off the car and clean them properly, you may just find the roughness is an accumulation of brake dust & tar.
Wash them, IronX them twice, clean them with Tardis or such a couple or three times, then you'll know what your dealing with, looking through the holes in the wheels will only give you a rough idea as to the state of them.
And when you've done all that, if your happy with them polish & seal them, before they go back on the car, thatll help to keep them clean & smooth
