@ Twiggy:

As the labour costs can be relatively high removing OEM bushes (invariably one or two or three will be stuck and tricky) the extra cost of replacing with polyurethane bushes is only the price difference of OEM vs Polyurethane and poly bushes are longer lasting and perform better and contribute to the car's handling. So it's almost a no-brainer.

Alex @ AKS can probably offer you a good price on SuperPro bushes :happy2:

Point to note, after I had Polybushes fitted, my clutch was slipping like mad, although car was lowered by 20mm also! As we discussed, the time has come to decide if u r keeping this car for the foreseeable future, or moving to Ed 30 in next 12mths!?

also is £570 (including VAT)  reasonable for a helix clutch kit stage 1 (354ftlbs limit)

No thats just for the clutch kit, would take it to Statller to be fitted. Did you purchase the clutch kit and them ask statller to fit or get them to order it in? hw much was your fitting?

....AKS is vRS_Alex on here with link in his sig.

Polybush are considered good by most folks.

I'm a DSG man so no idea about clutch costs.

Forgot to mention that the exhaust modification was an S3 down pipe.

vid below of how it sounds:

Full throttle, 2nd gear, esp off (slight wheel spin)
