V-Max Deutsche - Register today!
« on: January 28, 2013, 10:47:34 pm »
Im sure you guys now all know about the infamous v-max days. For those who dont know, youtube gtboard/m5board or dragtimes and check out their videos. This is basically what vmax is.

So people, we have our date....

As in true Vmax fashion we are NOT to discuss the date on the forum or any other public forum or social networking site so please refrain from mentioning it anywhere

You are more than welcome to PM me for details and I will obviously give you all the information.

What I need everyone to do is email Vmax and register yourselves.

teamvmax@hotmail.com

Name,
Car,
Mobile Number.

Craig will start taking payments as of next week when he is back from holiday and should you prefer to discuss the event with Craig or any of his team, feel free to contact them direct. All payments will be made direct to them and they will contact you with regard to this.

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines and get ready for.....

DeutscheMAX!!!

To save me searching around, quick question. Is this legal? i.e. on private land etc etc??

Maybe not, I can understand why they'd not want every Tom, Dick and Kevin turning up wanting to watch and having to deal with turning them away.

I assume you would have to have marshals, health and safety protocols / briefings, ambulance on hand etc. etc.

If it's open to spectators and the general public then you start running into problems regarding insurance, crowd control and facilities which you have to factor into the price. If it's done behind closed doors by like-minded individuals then there's no such worries.

Yeah, I just mean properly and legally organised - I'm not suggesting this is some sort of jaunt around the M25 at 4am

So long as you actually pay for the petrol that you use the receipt for as your time stamp, then I think it is legal

I've done vmax a few times and it's a great event - very well run and professional, only 2 cars run at once and the runway is superwide so minimum risk.

Best I managed was 172 in the Lotus.  I'd love to do this again but I don't think my skoda is going to cut it!

It's at Brunters Mike.. Massive event and has been for a few years now. Certainly not some chavs meeting at Maccys and then heading to local DC..  :signLOL:

Just have a look a the machinery that usually attends and you will know what I mean..

Sweet.

Not a lot of point me bouncing off the 155 limiter, but I may ride along in my mates B5 RS4.

Does the GTI have a limiter?  Sure I've seen some at 180+ :happy2:

Most GTIs have the limiter removed once mapped, my M135i is stock.

I could de-limit it, but CBA.
