Help for fitting new pioneer headunit please
« on: January 28, 2013, 10:10:31 pm »
Hi all,

Im planning to replace my old rcd300 with a shiny new headunit but not sure of a few things, would someone mind having a check through and advising me please?

This is the headunit: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/pioneer-avhx3500dab-din-cdmp3-dvd-stereo-61-screen-dab-digital-radio-bluetooth-ipod-android-p-37656.html

Do i need this: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/volkswagen-golf-plus-mk5-eos-jetta-car-stereo-fascia-fitting-wiring-kit-p-11489.html#

Or just this: http://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/volkswagen-caddy-eos-golf-double-din-car-stereo-cd-fitting-kit-p-24572.html

Or something different?

And also is it simply a matter of swapping out the units (with the adapters) or do I need to do any other wiring?

Cheers Andy

You need the £45 kit! The opening in the MK5 & MK6 is just big for a double din headunit so you need the spacers and the cage.
